Lee Penn Sky: Music

Valentine's day

(Lee Penn Sky)
Met you on St. Valentine
Asked you if you’d be mine
Didn’t believe in that holiday
Left me with nothing else to say
So I asked if you like Chinese food
You said only if you’re in the mood
How ‘bout a game of pool
I was feeling like such a fool

Met you on Valentine’s day
Didn’t know I’d have hell to pay
But now the debt is done
I think I’m the luckier one

Met you on St. Valentine
You didn’t fall for any of my lines
But you came home anyway
For a while I thought that you would stay
Wrote a poem, you started to cry
You walked out, I thought I’d die
Guess it wasn’t meant to be
Finally I have a little peace

Met you on St. Valentine
Kinda glad you were never mine
I don’t think you knew how to live
To do that you need to learn to give
And that was something you could never do
Finally I can see the truth
I’d never be here today
If you’d believed in that holiday
