Lee Penn Sky: Music

Willie and Poncho

(Lee Penn Sky)
I’ve heard Willie sing of Poncho
And the feds who brought him down
Strums that beat up guitar and sings of lefty
How he still maybe around

Willie tell me more of Poncho
The story of his outlaw ways
Just leave out the part of lefty
How in Ohio he wasted away

Sometimes I dream that Willie is Poncho
The way he goes against the grain
Poncho and he, it’s them that I see
Riding out over the plain

So it’s Willie and Poncho together
Tied that way in my mind
Let providence protect poor left
For he’s not the outlaw kind
